KoPHWA Busan Branch announced the launch of the ‘Preconception Care Program’ on April 11th, which aims to support couples who are planning to have children.

The program covers expenses for fertility tests - Anti-Müllerian Hormone tests(AMH) and GYN ultrasound scans - up to 130,000 Won for married couples, including those who are engaged or in common-law marriages.

Applicants to the program can obtain a test referral from their local public health center, and claim a rebate for the test fees after undergoing the tests.

In particular, the Busan branch is extending the program to unmarried women of childbearing age as a Busan city’s initiative.

The extended program is for single women born between 1980 and 1989, residing in Busan.
