KoPHWA and SPA(The Seoul Pharmaceutical Association) signed a MOU to promote the proper usage of medication.

Selected as an official project implementing organization for the Ministry of Health and Welfare(MOHW)’s Sexual Reproductive Health promotion project since February, KoPHWA has been executing various programs such as sexuality/contraceptive education and maternal medication.

KoPHWA and SPC plan to continue working together to make safe environment for childbirth, with the following programs:

▲ Provision of appropriate medication usage information

▲ Medication consultation for pregnant and nursing women

▲ Collaboration with informational programs (late-night pharmacies, Girl supporting pharmacy, etc.)

Both associations are focusing on managing the risks of medication misuse in pregnant women and publicizing prenatal medication information online and offline, recognizing that safe medication management is critical for both mother and fetus.

Lee Sam-sik, president of KoPHWA, stated, “Through this partnership, we will strive to deliver quality medication information and improve conditions for pregnant and nursing women.”
