□ Structural reorganization was made effective July 1st to better address the issue of extremely low birth rates. This change mainly focuses on providing education, counseling, comprehensive information, and services related to pregnancy, birth, and childcare, expanding pre-existing role.

○ Key changes include:

- Renaming the existing Family Health Office (1 Office, 2 Divisions) to the new "Comprehensive Center for Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Childcare" (1 Center, 3 Divisions, 1 Team).

- Expanding the structure to include three new divisions under the Center: Family Health Division, Pregnancy and Childbirth Support Division, and Childcare Support Division.

- Establishing a new team(the Pregnancy and Childcare Comprehensive Counseling Team) to centralize and organize comprehensive counseling services related to pregnancy and childbirth.

□ The Comprehensive Center for Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Childcare will undertake the following initiatives:

△ Developing comprehensive plans for pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare support projects.

△ Implementing sexual and reproductive health projects.

△ Raising awareness campaigns to considerate pregnant women.

△ Providing comprehensive information on pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare.

△ Promoting breastfeeding.

△ Managing care for infants with congenital metabolic disorders.

△ Offering comprehensive counseling services related to pregnancy, birth, and childcare through online, face-to-face, and phone consultations.

□ Lee Sam-Sik, president of KoPHWA said, "This structural reorganization emphasizes creating a supportive environment for pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare in response to the issue of extremely low birth rates. KoPHWA will accelerate its efforts to address the population crisis.“
