□ KoPHWA, collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, KBS Announcers' Association, and Seoul Metro, conducted a joint campaign on July 30th at Yeouido Station on Seoul Subway Line 5. The goal of the campaign was to foster a more supportive societal atmosphere for pregnant women.

□ Since 2007, the Ministry of Health and Welfare and KoPHWA have been distributing the 'Pregnancy Emblem,' a visible and portable bag hook, to early-stage pregnant women to ensure they receive the respect they deserve.

○ Pregnant women often face significant physical and emotional challenges due to hormonal changes, including morning sickness, extreme fatigue, and depression. Particularly in the early stages, when pregnancy is not visibly apparent, they require special care, especially when using public transportation.

□ During the campaign, various citizen-participation programs were held, including a pregnancy simulation experience and a survey on the public's awareness of designated seats for pregnant women. Additionally, a breast pump giveaway event was held for pregnant women through a raffle.

□ KoPHWA President Lee Sam-sik expressed his hopes that the joint

campaign will contribute to pregnant women receiving more respect and feeling safer when using public transportation. He added, "KoPHWA will continue to promote a culture of support for pregnant women in everyday life by raising awareness of the Pregnancy Emblem among the public."
